By downloading, accessing, or using the Skar mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Skar reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Skar. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You may register using email, phone number, or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and complete information. One account per person. Skar reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Usernames must be unique and between 3–20 characters, containing only letters, numbers, underscores, and periods. Skar reserves the right to remove or reassign usernames that are offensive, misleading, or impersonate others.
The oath you sign during onboarding is a personal commitment and is not a legally binding contract. Skar uses your oath text for personalisation purposes only. You may edit your oath at any time.
Skar tracks your sleep lock-in times, wake-up times, and calculates sleep scores. Skar is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Do not use Skar as a substitute for professional medical care.
Skar's lockdown feature uses Android Accessibility Services to restrict access to selected apps during your designated sleep window. You control which apps are blocked and can bypass the lockdown at any time. Skar does not access the content of other apps — it only detects whether they are opened during lockdown. By enabling this feature, you grant Skar the necessary Accessibility Service permissions.
Skar offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Free users receive a 7-day trial of Pro features. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly (₹99/month) or annually (₹1,000/year). Payments are processed through Google Play Store. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy.
You agree not to post content that is offensive, harassing, threatening, or illegal. Skar reserves the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate community standards. Confessions are anonymous but tied to your account for moderation purposes.
All content, design, and code in the Skar App is the property of Skar and its creators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
Skar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Skar is not responsible for any damages arising from your use of the App, including missed alarms, data loss, or device impacts. Skar's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Skar may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
In accordance with the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021:
